A mouthful of ripe Climax blueberries is sweet and delicious. The Climax cultivar is a USDA introduction of Rabbiteye blueberry bushes that was developed with the idea of producing an entire crop of berries that ripen at once, so that machine harvesting could maximize a harvest of berries at one time- losing only a minimum of unripe blueberries.

Very few blueberry cultivars produce huge clusters of berries that contain as many as 100 medium size berries per clusters as does the Climax Blueberry plant.
