The Hippeastrum Amaryllis 'Lemon-Lime' bulb introduction into the retail nursery market caused a sensational rush to the internet for every serious amaryllis lover. This gorgeous amaryllis with its bright, glowing yellow color, with a chartreuse throat and an improved substance separated this yellow flower from some of the early unsuccessful attempts to create a pure yellow amaryllis, but the form of those early hybrids was too variable with its trumpet shaped flowers tainted with too much green with little buyer appeal.
