The Hippeastrum Amaryllis 'Naranja' flower petals are slightly reflexed at the edges and open with a deep, rich orange color that fades at maturity to a light orange that looks much like the Dutch classic cultivar, 'Rilona'. The wide petals interlock into a flattened, roundish face that is dramatically fitted with a shallow tapered throat in the center with a burnished ochre-brown color. The dark-velvety orange color grossly absorbs the light and will attract all the attention of your friends eyes who come to inspect your amaryllis collection. Four to five flowers will form at the apex of each amaryllis stem of two or more that grow in successive waves over the season.
