The Hippeastrum Amaryllis 'Pink Surprise' flower forms large seven to eight inch blooms, wider than most other amaryllis cultivars in the exotic, Chinese Pink color – a brilliant attention getter when grown in containers indoors, or when planted out-of-doors amid a bed of other mixed, amaryllis flower colors. At the tips of the broad Chinese Pink petals, a bulb grower can see a bright pink color that fades into a white small splotch. The 'Pink Surprise' amaryllis look very similar to the old Dutch amaryllis flower bulb classics, 'Hercules' and 'Susan'. Four to six flowers will sit atop each amaryllis flower scape, and each amaryllis bulb will produce two or more flowering scapes.
