English Walnuts have a very thick shell which captures the inside freshness for a long time after the walnut harvest ends. The high oil and protein level makes the English Walnut kernel a great food source for squirrels. The tree is easily grown and provides excellent shade for those hot days during the Summer. Planting English Walnut orchards has become somewhat a rare event, because of how slowly the trees tend to grow. The medium green leaves on the English Walnut tree begin to turn gold in the fall after the first frost and are brilliant with their fall leaf displays.

Delivery Time: Nut Trees ordered during their current shipping season (usually December through May) are shipped dormant within ten days of the date of order, weather dependent. The actual delivery time will usually be within four to seven days following the date of shipping by Ty Ty Plant Nursery. Delivery time can not be guaranteed, if a package needs to arrive prior to a specific date please note in the comment section of the order or contact Ty Ty Nursery by telephone during normal business hours.

Pruning Information: Pruning may be required on Walnut trees constituting eight feet or more in size so as to comport with UPS Shipping requirements. For this reason, the Walnut tree(s) you receive may not be the actual height you ordered due to it being pruned up to one third of the total size immediately prior to shipping unless you have made prior arrangements with us to ship the product to you by motor freight. Although you should receive the size ordered if shipped by motor freight, note that shipping by motor freight will likely increase your shipping costs.

Shipping Method: UPS Ground and Motor Freight if the proper arrangements have been made by the customer prior to shipping. Shipping costs do apply on Motor Freight shipments, not covered by any sales promotions.

*1 Year Free Plantsurance Policy is void on any shipment outside of recommended USDA zones, or authorized to ship by the customer during below freezing temperatures.

If plants are listed by gallon size the plant will be removed from container and have the majority of the dirt removed to allow for the best shipping.
